Welcome to Sensibilist.com-Sensible Thought From Sensible People!

Hi, my name is Ed Bennett and I'm....like you! Admittedly, I've been told I think 'differently' than others. Always have. I have this 'gift' of putting myself in everyone's shoes.

I've read all of the great religious works. Seen and read about the wars and conflicts their adherents and followers have wrought on us. And why do people feel compelled to tell you what's right for you though they're in a shambles? Though I don't believe in God per se..I think we all have the ability to be God-like...but it takes work!
I believe in the best of the bible and Jesus, the koran and Mohammed, Buddhist teachings and other philosphies of great men and women...whether Bertrand Russell, Sarte, Ghandi, or Harriet Tubman.

I've felt the effects of discrimination and poverty...though, even poverty in America is nothing as compared to other parts of the world.

My quest is simply
to be a reasonable man in an unreasonable world.

I've never seen or read about any 'good' government. I believe in self-management. "Enlightened self-interest" is, in my humble opinion, a fallacy. I think we have to live and act more as the ants, termites, and bees, thought to be the 3 highest social orders on the planet. As far as government, I believe in....

The separation of church, state...and ED!

I don't consider myself an environmentalist, but I also don't throw oil down stormdrains. I think we could all do better if ...

'we just picked up a little more garbage than we throw away'

I've been a process server, a deliverer of legal documents, and know with certainty that anyone who deals with an attorney will never feel good or that justice has been done. I think they have corrupted the system into nothing but special interests. The ONLY special interest that we should have is that of being a good human being. I have taken a legal doctrine, estoppel, and made it one of my important tenets to live by, a religious one, if you will and that is...

ACTIONS ALWAYS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS

We 'honor' diversity...as long as we're all alike. Government now has 'customer service centers'....though they can't (or won't;-) tell me how NOT to be a customer!

Sounds easy, doesn't it? Anyway, welcome and please share my site...come in to the Sensibilist™ because it's great having you here!

You are probably asking yourself, "What the hell is a sensibilist?!?" (or Sensibilism for that matter!;-) Well, simply put, our aim is to be "reasonable people in an unreasonable world" and everything that says. Other than that, your guess is as good, if not better than mine!!! So, Become a member and add your revelation and 2 cents worth NOW...or whenever you have one ....sober or otherwise.

We're not too inclined to censorship here and all of our data is only for onsite use. You'll hear "I could be wrong" and "This is just a thought" allot

Attack the idea, not the person

Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything simply because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it. --The Buddha
